Mariona Lloreta is an award-winning, Mediterranean-American filmmaker, photographer, and multidisciplinary artist with over 15 years of experience telling deeply human stories across the globe. Her work spans cinema, photography, painting, poetry, and dance.

I first named my “production company” FOOGAZ when I was just five years old. The word means fleeting in my native Catalan — a fitting name for the kind of art I’ve always wanted to make. Even then, I was drawn to beauty that disappears quickly, but leaves a lasting trace. Today, FOOGAZ is my way of honoring that impulse — capturing the fleeting with care, feeling, and timeless artistry.

Whether Mariona is documenting a wedding, a newborn’s first days, or the quiet rhythm of family life, she bring a filmmaker’s vision and an artist’s sensibility to every story.
